Corona Outbreak Will Affect Your Travel Plans


As the fear of COVID-19 (coronavirus) rises in the UK, Chauffeur companies have put in place some preventive measures to counter the threat of infection. We have collated the measures announced by different health organisations. And it will affect your travel plans, so kindly plan carefully considering all the preventive measures. 
So, if you are planning to visit places such as China or any other country, you are inviting the risk of coronavirus which has majorly affected these areas. The update in Foreign and Commonwealth office policy has resulted in the cancellation of many flights to many countries. The entry to all foreign citizens has been prohibited by the government unless they have a residence in the place they are travelling to.
But what if you have booked the ticket for a visit and want to cancel it? If the government has not declared a warning in the country you are visiting, you cannot expect any compensation of money if you decide to cancel your trip.

Things to Keep in Mind

As part of our protocol for COVID-19 outbreak, we at GT Executive Cars require that all partners comply with ongoing medical advice for the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus. This includes measures such as ensuring that all vehicles are cleaned properly after each journey. And all our chauffeurs and or any of our staff managers, exhibiting any symptoms of illness are automatically quarantined and removed from duties.
GET-E has contingencies in place to ensure the continuation of our 24/7 operations. In the event of any suspected Corona virus-related incident either affecting a GET-E ride or disrupting your normal operations e.g., driver or vehicle availability, you must immediately contact GET-E Operations.
Regarding cancellations of bookings during the continuing virus, emergency conditions and until further notice, global travel recommendation, we have informed all our clients that there will be no penalties for any cancellation under the following circumstances: 
  • In the case of illness or suspected illness or 
  • Where the Government advises against all travel, or all but essential travel, to a destination
  • Where a Government (or regional authority) has advised against all but essential internal or external travel
  • Where an airline has cancelled, rescheduled or disrupted a planned journey due to related COVID -19 issues
Note: In the event of a ‘Passenger No-Show’ for a booked trip, without prior notification by the Customer to GET-E, cancellation charges will apply, and the respective partner will receive the full cancellation amount.

Along with taking official advice, we are also putting additional measures in place to help fight the spread of the coronavirus. Each of our chauffeurs will :
  • Have a car cleaning guide.
  • Access to bottles of hand-sanitiser.
  • Ensure that the car is cleaned before each pickup.
  • Must ensure that they keep a box of tissue in their vehicle.
  • And cover their mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing.
